Kinderplay

Play-based learning method in preschool.

"Research has shown that children's brains develop better when they engage in interactive activities instead of rote learning."

- Ms Ho Academic Director of Regional Training & Resource Centre in Early Childhood Care & Education for Asia

Our preschool programmes are supplemented by a wide range of specially designed creative and interactive activities targeting specific age groups from 15 months - 4 years old. The curriculum caters to varying needs and interests.

We provide a nurturing environment and offer the opportunity for young children to develop physical, social and cognitive skills according to their individual learning styles. Each child is considered unique in temperament and rate of development. All children are respected as individuals and encouraged to learn and develop at their own pace.

We strive to achieve positive and supportive relationships with families based on open communication and sharing of knowledge and skills.

Language Arts

The Language Arts component for English and Chinese is a fun and effective way of enhancing toddlers' vocabulary acquisition. Through songs, stories, rhymes and games, children learn to interact with peers and adults and develop social and communication skills.

Music & Movements

Music is used to reinforce learning and encourage spontaneous expression. Children have a natural love for music and through play and movement they can acquire musical knowledge and develop their motor skills in a happy and relaxed atmosphere.

As they sing and listen to simple songs, recite rhymes and dance to the beat of music in different forms, they will understand the sense of rhythm, tempo, volume and pitch.

Their aural and listening skills are sharpened as they identify different types of musical instruments and their sounds.

These sessions also improve their gross motor skills as they hop , jump ,crawl ,race, walk and skip along with the music.

Gymnastics

From 2011, we are pleased to offer a new movement learning experience through the component of gymnastics.

Gymnastics session will be dynamic and safely run by qualified pre-school gymnastics coaches and are are carefully planned each week to give stimulus to the child's overall physical development. Some of the activities include stretching, basic gymnastics such as rolling and jumping, as well as body management and co-ordination exercices.

Art & Craft

Art is a natural process and practical experience that helps to enhance and stimulate the creative expression of young children.

Our activities are specially planned to develop their fine motor skills and visual coordination. These sessions will also help to improve concentration, build confidence and encourage perseverance in a growing child.

We use a variety of materials for children to create, explore and experiment according to the different levels of their abilities. Your child will have lots of fun cutting, pasting, coloring and painting.

Brain Gym

Our Brain Gym activities are made up of a combination of simple body movement and exercises. Each exercise is suitable for the different age level of each child. These activities are carried out as a basic routine before the beginning of a lesson.

Besides enhancing the physical, mental emotional and cognitive skills of young children, Brain Gym exercises also improves concentration, memory and social skills.

Maths

We introduce Maths to children by actively engaging them through interactive and hands-on activities. This will enable them to gain a positive understanding of the basics as they play. Our materials are special created to make learning fun, easy, and interesting.

Programme 02: Nursery Phonics

Learning the alphabet is easy when children are given the opportunity to explore exciting interactive phonics exercises.

Our nursery phonics programme runs as an independent enrichment programme for one year and is also taught as a component within the Kinderplay Programme.

We have created a hands-on workshop based approach to the teaching of phonics, which allows clear recognition of letters and sounds. In this programme children explore the alphabet letters through a variety of senses such as touch, seeing, hearing and speaking.

Programme 03: Massage * NEW *

Massage has been proven to enhance a toddler's brain development. Children are able to enjoy the pleasure of baby massage which we incorporated into our programme. We believe in its benefits as it allows children to feel relaxed. Massage can improve blood circulation, 'stimulate and strengthen' the nervous system. It also helps to ease common discomforts like stomach ache and constipation.
